EPS is a new generation of automotive intelligent power steering system with mechatronics. The principle is that the control module determines the magnitude and direction of steering assist according to the signals from the torque sensor and vehicle speed, and drives the motor to assist steering operation. The basic control principle of the control module is that when steering, the torque is transmitted to the torsion bar through the input shaft, and the rotation angle between the input shaft and the output shaft is deviated, which is converted to the voltage change of the torque sensor and transmitted to the control module.
